Equines Commission
Our main objective is to defend all equines in our country, and contribute to their well being by educating the population on the main issues regarding horse welfare.
One of our main goals is to exert the necessary pressure so authorities realize the need to enforce the law towards those who mistreat or abuse horses under their care.
We also seek to warn people about the killing of horses for human consumption and the use of horse meat in various types of sausages manufactured in our country. Consequently, we let them know of the cruel methods used to put down horses in slaughterhouses. We also specify that no breed of horses in Peru was ever destined for the meat producing industry nor the human food chaín. After our campigns at the Monterrico racetrack in Lima, many racehorses who had finished their racing days, have found a second home through us, thus being rescued from death.
